Developing data structures to allow buildings and communities to be systemised

The work to date has been focused on identifying the key building blocks of a mesh network that can be used to bring transparency to how buildings and communities work as part of a smart city system. The system will be focused on people and their needs and ultimately it may be customisable and outcome orientated giving rise to Socially Adaptive Environments; a blending of physical and virtual delivery mechanisms which respond to user needs at any moment in time. For this to be achieved a language, a social language, will need to be constructed with associated data structures. This research will look at how a language will be constructed and the next stage of the work will identify what is to be communicated across the mesh and its attributes; the data structures themselves.
